Loupes for your surgery

Tailor-Made or Ready-Made options

Consider one of four optical systems

Univet surgical loupes are supplied in the UK by LP Med in four optical systems: Galilean, Prismatic, Ergo and Refractive. Each optical technology balances field, magnification and posture differently. Consider the system that matches your specialty and operating procedure.

01

Galilean

Wide field · light weight

A lighter, intuitive system with a wide field of view and a forgiving depth of focus. Choose it when broad situational awareness and easy reference outside the magnification zone matter more than the highest power.

Field of viewWide

02

Prismatic

Maximum resolution

A higher-magnification system with edge-to-edge clarity for detailed work. Choose it when the procedure demands maximum resolution and corner-to-corner sharpness, accepting a narrower field and shallower focus for it.

03

Ergo

Upright working position

An angled, ultra-light optical path that lets you hold a more upright head and neck position. Choose it when working posture and line of sight weigh as heavily as magnification; a short adaptation period is expected versus straight-line systems.

Refractive

Mid–high magnification

A refractive optical system delivering mid-to-high magnification with bright, sharp imaging, configured to support a more upright working posture. A further option where a lighter refractive build suits the way you work.

Make your loupe selection

Once you have made your optical choice, the next is whether they are Tailor-Made for you, or Ready-Made as a pre-set configuration, ready to wear.

Tailor-Made

Built around your interpupillary distance, facial geometry and working distance, with the optics set into the carrier lens. The full optical range, the widest choice of frames, and prescription integrated where appropriate.

Made to you, then fitted.

Ready-Made

Proven, pre-set configurations from a standard size range: ready to wear, faster and lower cost. A focused choice of optics, frames and sizes; prescription correction is not integrated.

Off the shelf, ready to go.
