Common questions
Does Velnez require painful removal?
No. Velnez fragments uniformly, so a removal procedure is not necessary, and the pain of traditional nasal pack removal is eliminated.
What happens to the dressing after placement?
It fills the cavity by absorbing surrounding fluids and blood, then fragments naturally, in a choice of 3-day and 5-day degradation options. Regular saline irrigation supports the desired fragmentation.
What is Velnez indicated for?
Nasal and sinus surgery: rhinoplasty, septoplasty, rhinosseptoplasty, FESS, sinoplasty and turbinate reduction, together with haemorrhage control in surgery or trauma patients.
How is Velnez stored?
At ambient temperature (4–30°C), away from sunlight and in a dry place. Single use, sterile and gamma irradiated, with a three-year shelf life.
