Haemostatic and bacteriostatic
Provides immediate haemostasis on contact with bleeding surfaces, reducing intra-operative ooze and improving surgical visualisation. Naturally bacteriostatic, resisting colonisation by common pathogens without the risk of antibiotic resistance.
Controlled fragmentation
100% fragmentable, degrading in situ with no manual removal. Residual material comes away in a discharge form and is cleared during routine post-operative care, leaving a clean surgical site for assessment.

Does Velnez need to be removed?
No. Velnez is 100% fragmentable, so there is no manual pack removal. Residual material is cleared during routine post-operative care, leaving a clean surgical site for assessment.
What happens to the dressing as it degrades?
It fragments naturally in situ. As it degrades, material comes away from the middle ear to the outer ear cavity in a discharge form, and any residuals are cleaned during routine post-operative care.
